Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 1, 2026

1. The Core Principle: Zero-Upload Architecture

Pixlush ("we", "us", or "our") operates on a fundamental principle of absolute data minimization. Unlike traditional online utility tools that require you to upload your files to a remote server for processing, Pixlush utilizes **Client-Side Browser Processing** (via WebAssembly and HTML5 Canvas).

When you use our standard utilities (including but not limited to compressing PDFs, converting images, merging documents, or cropping files), your files are processed entirely within the local memory (RAM) of your own device. Your files are never transmitted over the internet, and they are never stored, temporarily or permanently, on our servers. We literally do not have the technological capability to view, access, or retain the content of the files you process using these standard tools.

2. Information We Collect

Because of our Zero-Upload Architecture, the data we collect is strictly limited to metadata required to operate the website, serve advertisements, and understand anonymous aggregate usage patterns. We categorize this into two types:

A. Automatically Collected Analytics Data

When you visit Pixlush, our servers and third-party analytics providers (such as Google Analytics) automatically collect certain non-personally identifiable information. This includes:

  • Your device type and operating system (e.g., Windows 11, iOS 17).
  • Your browser type and version (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Edge).
  • Your anonymized IP address (used only for broad geographical routing).
  • Interaction metrics (e.g., which tool pages you visited, how long you stayed, and whether you experienced any crash errors).

B. Data Processed via AI Features

Pixlush offers specialized Artificial Intelligence tools (such as the AI Image Generator and AI Background Remover). Because these tools require massive computational resources that cannot currently run inside a standard web browser, they do require server communication.

If you use an AI tool, your text prompt or image is securely transmitted to our AI processing servers via TLS encryption. The image is processed, the result is returned to your browser, and the original and processed files are immediately and permanently deleted from the processing server's cache upon completion of the request. We do not use your inputs or outputs to train our AI models.

3. Cookies and Advertising (Google AdSense)

Pixlush is a free service, sustained entirely by advertising revenue. We use Google AdSense and its approved third-party vendors to serve advertisements when you visit our website.

  • Advertising Cookies: Google uses cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to Pixlush or other websites on the internet.
  • Personalized Advertising: The use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on your browsing history. This is standard practice across the free internet.
  • Opting Out: You have the right to opt out of personalized advertising. You can do this at any time by visiting Google's Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

4. GDPR and CCPA Compliance

Depending on your location, you have specific rights regarding your personal data under frameworks like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in the United States.

However, because Pixlush does not require user accounts, does not collect email addresses, and does not upload your files, we hold virtually zero personal data on our users. We cannot delete your files from our servers because they were never on our servers to begin with.

If you wish to exercise your "Right to be Forgotten" regarding our minimal analytics tracking, simply clear the cookies associated with `pixlush.com` from your browser settings.

5. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to external sites that are not operated by us (for example, links in our blog posts). If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal regulations or our operational practices. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
